I've tried many self-adhesive picture hooks and within 48 hours the framed photo fell apart with a big bang. The hook and nail works every time and can come out pretty easily. In hardware stores you can buy them in small packs of 12-20 pieces. 100 pieces for the price of a couple packs is a real bargain.
