My Echo Dot was playing through an old bookshelf stereo and wired speakers that were wall mounted and freestanding. Power outages blew the stereo, but I still wanted to use the speakers. This is my first time using something like this amp. It was easy to connect the speakers and they connected to my Echo via Bluetooth right away. I am very happy with the sound. I only have two complaints. A cable is located on the side of the sorter. I live in an old small house and outlets are limited so I use surge protectors/splitters which preclude the use of extension cords. It seems that many electronic devices have very short cords and this one is a standard length. Second, the blue power light is REALLY bright. It's bright enough to be distracting in a darkened room. It is bright enough to be used as a night light when needed. It would be nice if this light could be dimmed.
