
I have made hundreds of spark plugs. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into until I broke one candle and had to remove the fifth. I went online, read about all the instruments and ordered both Calvan and Lyle. I wasn't keen on installing the piston in the belt, so I chose the glued Calvan rod approach. I found 1/8" rotation and the Kano Croil worked better than the carb cleaner and the latter did a good job. Clean the unthreaded portion of the head with a .30 swab and acetone to remove carbon build up. Leave the glue last at least 6 hours, longer if it is under 70 F. The tip of the pin is rounded to make it easier to find the hole. Be patient at first. Jimmy
