This Tool is used to extract the broken porcelain from broken spark plugs in 2003 to current Ford Triton Engines. In some cases the porcelain will break off in the sleeve and will need to be extracted in order for the 39100 to function effectively. Unlike other tools that tell you to push the porcelain through the sleeve (Ford says specifically not to do this), this tool adheres to the porcelain using a special perma-bond and then allows a user to extract the broken porcelain from the sleeve.

Useful for Triton 3 valves (not earlier than 2 valves)

Spark plugs fail for several reasons. This is useful when the electrode is no longer in the ceramic. Different breakdowns require different extraction methods. Later model 3-valve Triton engine. It will not fit older 2-valve Triton engines.

The guides seem to have too much play.

I failed. The guides seem to have too much play to guide the tip of the glue into the hole in the porcelain. All I ended up doing was sealing the hole. It could work with a large number of patients. I've used a similar tool before and it worked great. Maybe I was careless and cocky.

Has been working on a few stubs, but.

4 candles in the porcelain of my Mustang GT 06 broke off. This tool was able to remove 2 of them. However, the other 2 failed after 3 attempts. I thought maybe I had left the cap on the Loctite for too long and it would have lost its effectiveness. However, I bought another bottle and it still didn't work. The extractor pin came out without a plug. Also, only 4 extractor pins are included in the kit, which you cannot reuse according to the instructions (I bent extracting them, so they were…

Mustang GT Spark Plug Hell

I have made hundreds of spark plugs. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into until I broke one candle and had to remove the fifth. I went online, read about all the instruments and ordered both Calvan and Lyle. I wasn't keen on installing the piston in the belt, so I chose the glued Calvan rod approach. I found 1/8" rotation and the Kano Croil worked better than the carb cleaner and the latter did a good job. Clean the unthreaded portion of the head with a .30 swab and acetone to…
