I have finally changed ALL my filters to reusable/washable ones. They are all different too. One is stainless steel and needs a hose down (I'm worried about rust to be honest, but not yet). This one is more like the disposable filters I've used but in a reusable form. I'm a little concerned that not enough air is going through the filter, but I'm not sure. This one has a plastic frame with a flexible lid that can be thrown in the washing machine. less airflow. However, we have a lot of dust in our house, although we vacuum daily and change filters on the first of the month without any disturbance. I'm sure this captures more dust on the fabric than disposable filters. The quality of this filter is excellent. The cover can be thrown in the washing machine and we dried ours on LOW heat. In fact, the washing machine came out almost dry after spinning. The stitching is intact, the size is perfect for the frame and the frame is the perfect size for our opening. As long as I like it I hope for dust reduction with efficient air exchange. When I test it, it seems to be blowing out a decent amount of air and I can't see any decrease in efficiency.
