Review on StarTech.com DVI to VGA High Resolution Video Converter - Black (DVI2VGACON) by Billy Berry

The resolution of this product is excellent and my equipment does not beat it. I figured that with my resolution and refresh rate, I was pushing the boundaries of random artifacts. I am impressed. I have to laugh, I tried the cable routing - hey, it has a DVI-D pinout on one side and a VGA pinout on the other side. Why does not it work? Yes, the output signal is digital (01) and the signal required by VGA is analog (wave). It's like hearing through the eyepiece of a telescope. Or try looking through a stethoscope. Doesn't work - not made for it.
