I wish I could just buy the smallest one but the price was reasonable so I bought it. I needed a small lid to cover the cat's plate so I could warm up her canned food. I only microwaved her food for 10 seconds but the food was still splattering and using paper towels every time was a waste of money. I only need the smallest and it works great. I know some reviews have said they need handling and had trouble getting the cap off. I have no problems and neither does my husband. As said, we use the smallest lid and have no problem putting it on or taking it off the plate.
