Used on Fuji X-E1. I want to keep the lens for its low minimum focusing distance, sharpness and bokeh. Compared to other lenses, this is not a fast lens. But it costs little and is a lot of fun. After using this lens for a long time I decided this is a really good lens at a great price. I even started to like the plastic case (it weighs less). You need to add a good UV filter (I recommend GOBE filters, but black and white are fine too) and a good lens hood. The lens hood that comes with this lens is for a wide-angle lens, which is a "standard" lens. I have a 46mm lens hood (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IMU7LPC) + a 52mm lens hood on top (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005C85O1K) .Cons: * Aperture ring. (No f/5.8 mark on ring). Very small distance between the marks after f4. I suspect this is one of the overheads of the lens design they went for the lens. But the aperture rotation is smooth and precise.* This is a slow lens. It's $60, so don't expect it to perform like a higher quality lens. So, indoors, use a flash, flash, slow shutter speed, or set the ISO to Auto. Advantages: * Short focusing distance (0.18 m). The minimum focusing distance is approximately 0.18m from the subject to the front of the lens.* Affordable* Lightweight* Lots of bokeh* Artistic potential* Only slightly blurry at full aperture. Pretty sharp at f2.* Easy to focus. (On older cameras (like the X-E1) set the AE (photometrics) setting to AVERAGE instead of SPOT or MULTI. This makes it easier to focus. I don't know why. It might be easier for the processor to deal with than cameras should don't have this problem.) Microcontrast: Hopefully some of the photos I've posted in this review can give you an idea. I don't have enough experience to judge its micro-contrast qualities. I'm considering using this lens when I'm feeling "artistic". This is a really fun lens to play around with if you want something different. The lens gives photos a certain unique look, especially bokeh (blurred background) in landscapes. However, this is subjective and you can hate it. Youtube has a review of this lens for the MFT mount of this lens, search YouTube "Is this 35mm f/1.6 NoName lens amazing for BMPCC 4K?" For $60 you should try if you like a close focus 35mm lens. If you're new to Fuji cameras, just grab the XC 35mm f2 for a great value all-purpose lens. For something different and affordable I would recommend Krorux.
