I have been buying DAP Putty for many years. It does its job well and that's about all you can expect. But I only noticed after using this version of the product that it is pink in the tube and as it dries it turns white. The pink color makes it easy to see where your putty enters the white surface or indentations. And if you're smoothing out an uneven surface, the pink level will give you a good idea of where the deep and fine spots are. An added bonus is that you don't have to sand or paint the surface until it's finished. . You can see that the flat surfaces are ready for the next step, while the wet deeper areas take longer. Nice extra!.
