🎨 DAP 12330 Dry Time Indicator Spackling: Fast-Drying 1-Quart Tub in White Review

I may have come across a poor quality batch but the force required to extrude a small amount of putty is extremely high. I feel like he's about to blow the back of the whistle. I ended up having to cut the tip off almost to the end to get it out, which defeats the purpose of the tube.

Bought to fix some holes in the wall. Super easy to use! I love that it's pink and turns white as it dries - it's not hard to show when it's ready to be painted. I could patch small holes very easily. I even managed to patch a large hole I cut in the drywall. We highly recommend only keeping them on hand for occasional projects around the house.

My product might have been a bit dry but it was very difficult to squeeze the tube and get the product out. It took me a very long time to squeeze the tube to squeeze the product out just an inch. It is also not easy to stick on the wall. Maybe it would work better if the product was fresh. But if the product comes like this, I don't recommend it at all. I would try again but wouldn't pay for another tube.

Almost impossible to get any appreciable amount out of the tube. By squeezing with both hands as hard as a 300 pound person can muster, you will get a bead about 1/4 inch long. What squeezes out seems workable enough, but you just can't get it out of the tube except for pea-sized drops. The whole reason I have it in the tube was to be able to easily fill in the gaps in the corner joints. This material is useless. I'll try to find something that will work in my caulking gun instead.

I have been buying DAP Putty for many years. It does its job well and that's about all you can expect. But I only noticed after using this version of the product that it is pink in the tube and as it dries it turns white. The pink color makes it easy to see where your putty enters the white surface or indentations. And if you're smoothing out an uneven surface, the pink level will give you a good idea of where the deep and fine spots are. An added bonus is that you don't have to sand or paint…

. The drywall was weak due to exterior water damage. And I used four different glitter compounds and patches to fill in the (big) hole - all I had to do was cut and install a new piece of drywall. In any case, after filling the hole and partly due to the fact that the putty was over, on more than one occasion (not proudly but just being honest) I had a flooded but uneven surface that was smooth and even. For these and I think other minor repairs I have found this DAP putty to perform…
