no guides to punch at the exact spot or at an angle

No ability to punch a hole at a specific location on the paper. Pushing the paper into the punch doesn't straighten it: you can tilt it left or right without a guide, so a square hole isn't necessarily perpendicular to the edge of the paper. This device makes tiny square paper. It cannot be used to punch a square hole in a sheet of paper, which is what I needed. You can't even see where the impact is coming from, deep in the instrument's jaws. Really bad idea.
