🔲 White EK Tools Square Punch, 0.50-Inch, New Packaging Review

No ability to punch a hole at a specific location on the paper. Pushing the paper into the punch doesn't straighten it: you can tilt it left or right without a guide, so a square hole isn't necessarily perpendicular to the edge of the paper. This device makes tiny square paper. It cannot be used to punch a square hole in a sheet of paper, which is what I needed. You can't even see where the impact is coming from, deep in the instrument's jaws. Really bad idea.

I bought this punch to punch out the little 1" squares I buy from Esty and it works great. EK kicks are amazing kicks and almost always work perfectly. I love EK kicks so I can't say enough about them. You will love it too. I bought this punch hoping for a relatively decent hole quality as others have mentioned it is metal but was disappointed to find that only the cutting part is made of metal and is very soft while metal dulls easily. The pressure lever of the cutting head is made of plastic, so if it weren't for the soft cutting head itself, this would be a weak point. I'm pretty sure it's soft cast aluminum or zinc.
