Please change your cabin filter annually!

I was helping a friend and noticed the car smelled damp. It was an older 2006 CRV, so he didn't put much stock in it at first. It turned out that the cabin filter (which, like most, is behind the glove box) was completely clogged with dirt, since maybe it hadn't been changed in ages? To make matters worse a mouse/rodent made its way and sat in the air intake that led to the filter and so had to clean it thoroughly after removing the old filter which looked like it could planted in a vegetable garden. it was so crowded. Anyway, I bought this particular filter to clean the cabin airspace and freshen up the intake/recirculation airflow and it seems to absorb odors pretty well. You must replace cabin filters annually for your HVAC system to function properly in your car. . Don't be fooled by oil change sites that make huge profits by changing cabin air filters. take it and do it yourself. For most vehicles this takes 10 minutes or less.
