Excellent comb. But not much better than the cheaper ones

Nice comb. Some people have commented that their hairbrush lacked the intricate buffalo horn comb coloring, but mine looks really shiny. The color ranges from black to silvery white with distinct mottling and stunning depth. However, the saw functioned ok, but there were small chips on the tips of two or three teeth. Being a bit coarse, it glides smoothly through my hair and scalp. These are real horn combs, so a very slight warp along the entire length was not an issue. And it's quite durable, polishing is even. I'd say it's a really good comb, but it's also more expensive than MANY other options. If $26 isn't a big deal then go for it, but my Kent brushes are better and cost less in my opinion. I have a wooden comb that smells nice and flakes well under my beard. My Kent comb set is the smoothest and cleanest. This comb is the prettiest, it spreads oils and lipstick very well. I rub in some mineral oil every few months and keep it dry. You can wet comb with it. But make sure it's completely dry! I prefer Kent combs for this. definitely better than cheap plastic combs and any other metal combs you can find.
