Daughter, 7 years old, tall, thin. This top was meant to be worn under a slightly see-through silver dress for the school show, so I wanted it to be a bit form fitting. I bought her a size 7 and it was a little tight. I went to a size 10 and it fit her a little loose but she was comfortable. I just fixed it by taking it from the back and it looked great. It will fit her for another year, which is great. The material is smooth and not flimsy. Very well done. If your child is usually a size 7-8 I would go for a 9 or 10.
