It works for Xbox Series X without sacrificing digital audio quality.
Unfortunately the new Xbox is a bit finicky with HDCP so my previous (mono value) 1:2 amp/splitter caused my AVR to detect the lowest common denominator (my gaming monitor only defines stereo reception ) with this unit and my 1080p gaming monitor in mixed settings I can use the console as a blueray player again AND get Dolby Digital audio. Fully justifies the price of the latest generation gaming consoles when you need 5.1+ sound.
