Unfortunately the new Xbox is a bit finicky with HDCP so my previous (mono value) 1:2 amp/splitter caused my AVR to detect the lowest common denominator (my gaming monitor only defines stereo reception ) with this unit and my 1080p gaming monitor in mixed settings I can use the console as a blueray player again AND get Dolby Digital audio. Fully justifies the price of the latest generation gaming consoles when you need 5.1+ sound.

I bought this to share my PS4 (now PS5) signal between my 4K TV and my ElGato HD60S+ capture card. The great thing about this card is that it can run at dual resolutions, so I don't have to sacrifice 4K TV quality to match the capture card's 1080p max resolution. I liked that it can be used to feed a 4k hdr TV and an HDMI input for an audio receiver. One of the comments said it wouldn't work that way. Maybe they meant the separation of the sound from the optical sound to the receiver. My receiver has 4k upscale, but no HDMI 2.2. Works right out of the box. However, my complex setup required a lot of trial and error to get going. The problem was not in the splitter, but in the settings of the output device. Output 1 goes to the TV, but through an AVR home theater device, and output 2 goes to the scaler, then to the recorder, then to my computer.
