Review on πŸ› οΈ Versatile WEST SYSTEM Epoxy Resin Quart: Ideal for DIY Projects and Professional Applications by Wayne Drakh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

First time using it. I can't get enough of my rustic flooring project, especially with the pumps!

I used this for a rustic oak floor project where epoxy was injected into nail holes, work holes, cracks and loose knots. This is my first time using this system and I am very happy with the ease of use (especially with metered pumps!) and the results. I applied some black epoxy (chalk powder) and some clear (I used #207 hardener). In fact, I even made some big holes with a black layer and filled them with transparency for an interesting look. I used a colloidal thickener for the holes that went through the boards and the thin epoxy went right through. Most of these holes were plugged with caulk or liquid nails before the floor was installed, but I missed a few.

Pros
  • THIS EPOXY LUBRICANT IS EASILY MODIFIED WITH WEST SYSTEM fillers, additives and pigments to achieve the right handling characteristics for the job at hand. Whether you need to create a pigmented finish, high strength epoxies, a flow bond, or a low-friction finish, WEST SYSTEM 105 resin can be customized to meet the needs of your project.
