The elevators work, but the pair have distinctly different strengths. This may not matter for some applications, but I have found that the lid puckers slightly when opened. Elsewhere is the problem, my XC90 has right and left hood latches and the weaker side latches first when you lower the hood. The latches are aligned and the hood is fine, the problem was only with these lifters. I would send them back if I didn't need them on the hood right now. It's not a lot of what you pay for and it's worth a fraction of the branded lifts.
