This is my first purchase and my first attempt at using a spot welding torch. It took several trials/attempts to determine the best technique for using this tool. I found that 1) punching the notch down the center in a spot weld is not enough, the center pin of the router will slip out of the notch. Center the spot weld, then use a 1/8-inch drill bit to drill through the panel to the depth of the panel thickness. This provides a good place for the center pin. 2) I found faster drill speed with light pressure. it's best to press the router bit into the panel. Especially when you start cutting the router bit into the panel. I didn't use lube and drilled about 50 spot welds on one side of the blade and didn't break the center pins This technique above. After 50 drilled spot welds it seems to be dull. I will use with the next lube to see if it prolongs the life of the blade.
