I am very impressed with this scale. I used an Oxo Good Grips scale but it has a 4lb weight limit and I had to weigh some heavier items. I mainly use the scale when baking bread. What I like is that the scale reacts immediately when additional ingredients are added to a container. With Oxo, there were occasional fluctuations between additions, which meant I kept adding and then removing part of an ingredient because I was over the planned amount. The scale is also long enough that I can still see the readings even with a large container. Delivery was quick. Received the scale in just one day. The only problem is that the scale is 2 grams heavier than the oxo. I don't know if Oxo or Mackie got it wrong, and in bread making it really doesn't matter because all ingredient measurements are the ratio of ingredients to flour. So as long as 2 grams are constant, everything is fine.
