I just bought this to replace a Klipsch BT speaker that I've been using for over 10 years. Why do I need a BT speaker and how to use it? I'm a photographer and I know the model's taste in music and the availability of services like Apple Music or Spotify allows me to play music while taking photos to help them relax and add some rhythm to help with posing, especially with flowing movements. poses. Carefully customizing your playlist can help you achieve your desired body language and facial expressions. The sound isn't outstanding, but it's very, very good, with noticeable mids and harmless highs with just the right amount of baritone and bass. It's been tuned well for its size and should work well with almost any genre of music. Although designed and advertised as "360-degree sound," the tweeter is clearly forward-biased, while the port, or passive radiator, is rear-biased. sounds good. I'm not ashamed to reveal this for a studio portrait or concept art shoot. The buttons might be better labeled with an industry standard than a proprietary choice, but once you figure that out, you're good to go. I don't need waterproofing, but it's nice to know it's durable. The look and feel of my Triple Black device is delightfully understated. Battery life is acceptable... I expect a device of this size to last at least twice as long, so the charging station is already in the basket. The lack of USB-C fast charging, particularly in this latest Version II, is a huge disappointment. The inclusion of a 1/4"-20 thread, the standard thread for photography, in the base is a great benefit, especially for photographers and outdoor use, as it can be easily mounted on a tripod or light stand for better sound quality . In the end everything comes together again. It's much better balanced than the Beats Pill and can be played at full volume, unlike the Beats, whose bass-heavy tuning lets the full-range drivers gasp and flap at full power. While the Revolve II is clearly directional, it's not as bad as unidirectional speakers like the Beats Pill. I can mount it on a tripod in the studio, plug in Apple Music, turn the volume down halfway and never touch it again as the sound travels in all directions. For the price, this is one of the best portable BTs out there. speakers available. If you need more volume and higher fidelity, I'd recommend the Plus version, as it's big enough to accept Bose's proprietary tuning and sounds better overall. For my purposes, however, the non-plus version fits perfectly in my camera bag with the lenses, making it ideal for studio and on-location use. It's the best compromise set for the price and sounds almost as good as it looks. In fact, the sound is so mid-weighted and clear that I'm considering buying a second one to use in stereo with my iMac, just by unplugging it when I go to the studio or elsewhere. If you want a $200 laptop BT speaker, unless you're a die-hard bass player, you'd be crazy to buy anything but this one. If yes, buy Sony and avoid Beats Pill.
