(Updated) For years I've been running an incompatible dual monitor system consisting of a 21" Acer model and a c. 2015 22" Samsung model. While it was enough for many basic things, it always drove me crazy. they were different sizes. Also, color calibration was an issue on both models that never worked, and the same videos/images had significantly different hues depending on what monitor they were viewed on. Basically, it's time to buy a dual monitor replacement kit of the same brand and model. I also wanted something with 4K support, ranging in size from 25 to 29 inches, and of course something that wouldn't break my budget. After spending several months reading reviews of different models, I found that the 27-inch LG 27UL500-W best suits my wants and needs. On Prime Day, Revain dropped the price even more, so I placed an order for a set ($279 each). Installation: very easy. To save desk space I bought a fully adjustable WALI Dual LCD Monitor Desk Stand with two arms. I've had no trouble mounting monitors to the desktop mount and running cables from the monitor to the PC/outlets. Assembly and Finishing: I didn't see any issues with the bezel when they came off. They aren't the thinnest, being around 0.25 inches thick on the top/sides. The bottom is wider. As I use a desktop stand I have no comment on the stands that come with the monitors (they are still boxed). I like that LG has included a switch to control the screen instead of a row of buttons. Image: The image quality is very good so far. I didn't see the light bleed as many commenters have pointed out. Connections: The 27" LG 27UL500-W has 1 Displayport (v1.2) and 2 HDMI ports (v2.0). No DVI or RGB15 connections. I assumed that I had DVI ο³ HDMI/DP - or RGB ο³ HDMI/DP adapters. Neither RGB (which I expected) nor DVI adapters (which I did NOT expect) will work with these monitors. Those with older PCs/laptops/KVM switches so might be out of luck if the hardware doesn't support DisplayPort or HDMI video (I deducted a star for that in my original review), so my 4-port RGB KVM switch isn't working (that's to be expected, and I had my eye on replacing the 4-port HDMI KVM switch that supports dual monitors.) For a PC, you'll need a cheap PCIe x16 replacement graphics card with 2x DisplayPort or 2x HDMI ports (but cheap don't seem to be common) and find enough VRAM to run this monitor (from what I've read it should be 1GB more). enough for 1080p as I don't plan on using these PCs for high-end gaming). I've found passive HDMI DisplayPort to work, so integrating a new HDMI KVM switch shouldn't be a problem. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase of the LG 27UL500-W 27 inch. I also have a plan to work on my KVM/cables/monitors. If all goes well I will probably upgrade my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Update 05/05/2020: I am increasing my rating by one star - none of the monitors have had any picture, video or audio problems since purchase. July 2019 These monitors are used almost every day, often switched on and off, and the resolution changes several times a month. The audio channel is constantly being used through one of the monitors to stream video from the ROKU that is connected to one of the monitors. I fully integrated these two monitors for use with a 4x dual port HDMI KVM switch. My only disappointment was that the old ROKU SE didn't work with HDMI monitors. This is most likely because ROKU SE does not support 4K. Using ChromeCast and a ROKU streaming stick didn't cause any problems with any of the LG monitors.
