300 watt pure sine wave inverter does the job and does it well

their models looks the same on the outside of the chassis or frame but NOT pure sine wave) are very beneficial and perform as advertised. You may be wondering why is it so specific to the Pure Sine Wave model? Well, if you're using an inverter to power sensitive electronics such as computers, tablets, personal medical devices, communications equipment, etc., you need to provide a pure sine wave power supply. If you do NOT do this, you risk: (a) equipment not working at all, (b) destroying sensitive electronic products by applying dirty, intermittent AC power to them at any point (even if it turns the equipment on). Point of time when there is a surge or surge as it is not regulated unless it is supplying pure sine wave alternating current (AC) (c) You can power things like air pumps, fans (electric motors) while most are NOT pure sine wave inverters can't or with that weird annoying and ineffective ramp and fall syndrome - they CAN also permanently damage and/or ruin your electric motor(s) if they are NOT pure waves acts. Bestek pure sine wave inverters work as advertised and this particular model is solidly built with an aluminum housing that dissipates heat more efficiently than plastic. Note that the device gets very hot when used with AC devices over 75W. Therefore, ensure that you DO NOT place the device on or near surfaces that do not tolerate heat well. We place the device on a carpeted floor instead of the center console armrests to avoid damaging the soft materials of the armrests. Also, upgrade to a 500-watt sine wave inverter if you plan on AC powering anything that draws more than 100 watts from the cigarette lighter. Cigarette lighter plugs in a car are usually equipped with a 10 amp fuse. However, if you draw over 100 watts of power continuously for more than 5 minutes, a few things are at risk (a) you may blow the fuse in your car and need to replace it (which can be a big problem for some people) and (b) generates HEAT in the outlet, power cords, and the device itself as it converts 12-13 VDC to higher powered 110 VAC. 300 watts alone is rated for power output, cigarette sockets, the plug and cords to/from most factory cigarette sockets are suspect. If you end up drawing more than 100W from the inverter, you really should use the INCLUDED battery clips instead of the cigarette lighter adapter. My recommendations are based on experience and are not exhaustive or absolute - these are our recommendations/suggestions and they ALWAYS work for us with no issues. We find this inverter very handy when we're camping and using it in all sorts of configurations, mainly to power AC devices (up to a maximum requirement of 150W for us) that don't have direct DC inputs (or an external battery). ).
