Good puzzle, mediocre clock

Update 10/31/2021: Almost three months later the clock is still running. A short video was shot tonight. It runs almost continuously except when I forget to start it. The balloon problem persists (see below). I solved the problem by disabling it. So now the balloon just hangs there and doesn't do anything. The clock still doesn't keep time well, but it ticks happily and makes a pleasant tick-tock sound. I wonder how long this will take. =============================================== ==In I have collected several Ugears puzzles over the last few months. This clock fit like any other, had no missing parts and was fun to build. Now it hangs on the wall and ticks behind me as I type. Sounds like . Watch. lol It doesn't keep a good time though. He wins or loses a few minutes a day. Because it is raw wood, it is very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. The biggest problem is the balloon. About 30% of the time the balloon is falling, the gear meant to lift the balloon back up collides instead of meshing with the drive gear and the clock stops. Yes, I've sanded and waxed it appropriately and fiddled and fiddled with it to get it to work reliably. I gave up. Now I consider it a smart gimmick. But it's cool, I'm glad I got it and would probably buy it again even if I knew what I know now. Just know that you are buying a well-designed puzzle that basically works, not a clock.
