I'm 6ft 5" and had a little trouble finding a more compact, not-insanely cheap tent that wasn't too tapered at the ends for me to fit in, without the walls to touch the tent. . The almost vertical walls of this tent did just that. I have enough room for my Klymit V-Luxe mat with an extra foot or so on each side. A couple or two very close friends could definitely sleep in this tent. The vestibules are fantastic, I've never had anything like this in a tent, but it makes sense. There's plenty of room for gear - I put the fridge, backpack, shoes and tent bag on one side and was still able to get in and out of the same side. If I had more stuff with me, I would have a completely different side. My first night passed the test with this tent in a downpour in Florida. When I got there, it had just started raining. When I was looking for a place to put up a tent, a thunderstorm had started. I used the reverse installation and installed a rain cover on poles and a floor mat. I was able to set up the tent body nice and dry under the rain cover without letting myself and my gear hang out in the rain. With the wind I had to put up a few guy ropes, but the tent held up. In the morning I woke up in a good dry tent. There is a lot of condensation on the inside of the rainfly, but that's not surprising - I was soaked to the skin when I climbed in the night before and was in the tent in 76-80 degrees. The tent bag has space for all your gear, including the ALPS ground lifeguard (sold separately). I would wholeheartedly recommend this tent although I would definitely buy a floor protector or make one myself as the floor itself is a bit flimsy. taking them apart, making it a lot harder than it should be. Although this is just a minor annoyance. Everything else is great.
