Reliable inexpensive double tent.

I also have an Alps Mountaineering Lynx single man tent which remains my all time favorite backpacking tent after years of heavy use in many conditions. I have a 2 person Chaos model because I can't stuff another soul in the Lynx (it's tiny). The Chaos 2 seater is nice and roomy (including headroom), but quite heavy (backpacking relatively), and the pole design takes longer to set up and take down than I'd like. Still very good value for money, especially when you get it on sale. I've onlyโ€ฆ

This tent survived like a champ

Very impressed with this tent. My wife and I went camping last weekend. We've had rain, 35-55 mph winds and woke up in the morning with two inches of snow on the ground. This tent took everything like a champ. Both nights we were warm, cozy and dry. When we heard about the gusty winds we used the flyaways (which were great) that came with the tent and our tent was the only one left the next morning. Definitely a good buy and not too heavy. This is not an ultra light camping tent. But I was able

Tested and true for tents

Today is December 25, 2018. It has been 47 days since the fire. I lost everything, including this tent. The first items I bought were 4-season clothing, along with toiletries, socks and underwear. I couldn't go home so I lost everything. With winter approaching and nowhere to call home, I figured it would be best to buy back all of my burned survival gear. This tent was one of those items. Now this is my home. It has only withstood continuous rain for a week and a half. I had minimalโ€ฆ

Share it with a hiking partner.

This was my first time needing a camping tent and I was not disappointed. Although it was the heaviest item in my backpack, this tent comes with two covers (one needs to fit inside the other) so I was able to separate the covers and poles. I carried the blankets and my friend carried the poles, which worked great for us to carry no more than 30 pounds for a 10 mile trip. It fits perfectly in our pockets. I really liked the raincoat as it protected us just in time when it started pouring out ofโ€ฆ

Great tent twice the price!

I bought this tent to go camping with my wife. She insists on always using the old 6 person dome tent so she has room to stand up and pack all her gear in it. I'm more of a minimalist - a tent is for sleeping, not for living. This tent fits! I have a queen-size air mattress that fits in and barely touches the sides of the tub, leaving about a foot of space between the foot of the mattress and the headboard. Mesh windows and a screen ensure excellent ventilation so that condensation does notโ€ฆ

Ideal for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts

A great tent even for experienced campers. Used it on a 5 day hike in Arizona. Here are some of the things I found on this trip. Pros: Durable, withstood quite strong winds very well. Spacious, it had enough room for me, my wife, our gear and our 145 lb Great Dane. Don't listen to people who say he's short, he's not. Very simple construction. It's actually one of the easiest setups I've ever experienced. Very easy to pack. I didn't have a hard time putting it back in my bag like I usually doโ€ฆ

Easy to pitch - Easy to pack - Surprisingly roomy

I bought this tent because I needed a strong tent that was small, easy to pitch and pack and to me, a random friend and my LARGE fits (90 lb.) white German Shepherd. I had no problem attaching this tent to my Osprey Ariel 65 women's backpack - I didn't even feel the 5lb 14oz tent + groundsheet. With a friend and dog in tow, we spread out both of our mats and had about 6-8(?) inches left on the side and at least 12" x 56" on the bottom - meaning my dog had room. sleep without trying to grab myโ€ฆ

Great Tent: Outdoors

I'm 6ft 5" and had a little trouble finding a more compact, not-insanely cheap tent that wasn't too tapered at the ends for me to fit in, without the walls to touch the tent. . The almost vertical walls of this tent did just that. I have enough room for my Klymit V-Luxe mat with an extra foot or so on each side. A couple or two very close friends could definitely sleep in this tent. The vestibules are fantastic, I've never had anything like this in a tent, but it makes sense. There's plenty ofโ€ฆ

Great deal for the price! Pros and cons below.

I took this tent on an overland trip this summer and stayed in it for several nights. Is this the lightest tent? no But it's strong, durable, and affordable. For those who are a little rougher with my stuff, I chose this specific tent until I settled on my perfect hiking tent. I have an old Alps Mountaineering dome tent and was very happy with its durability so I went with the same brand. Here are my lists of pros and cons. The "cons" aren't necessarily major complaints or issues with the tent,
