GoPro doesn't make a standard windshield mount for their cameras, and their suction cup mount doesn't stick to the textured dashes that make up 99.9% of modern dashboard material. So I needed an alternative, not too big or too big for my low pickup dash cam. This bean bag GPS mount is a great alternative. The GoPro adhesive mount is cured and adheres to the base of the GPS mount on the dashboard within 24 hours. Not sure why there are negative comments about the sliding mount. It wasn't a problem. The unit has three heavy duty beanbag "arms" with two cellophane covers (top and bottom) at the base, just remove them. I cleaned the top base lightly with rubbing alcohol and dried it to ensure the GoPro's adhesive camera mount was secure. The bottom of the GPS mount, which attaches to the top of your dashboard, will become very sticky on its own once you peel off the cellophane. I use a lint roller to remove any debris that may have collected on the underside. cool stuff? I can literally take my GoPro camera attached to this GPS dash mount and take it to any other car with ease. So if it works with my GoPro, it will definitely work with a GPS suction cup device, which is its original purpose. I have no complaints.
