In general, I was pleased with this set (butterflies fly freely). Quality materials, clear instructions. I'm not a total beginner, although it's been a while since I've embroidered anything and I had to look it up. I wouldn't consider this a beginner project, but ymmv. I have one complaint - it is listed with 41 colors. It does contain 33 individual tufts of thread, but in fact some of them were not different colors when they should have been. As a result, a certain subtlety of the design is lost. I didn't count how many times I found this omission, but it was at least 4 times, making the actual number of colors around 29.
