Polished, with powerful and silky smoothness!

Bang and Olufsen charge premium prices for a reason, because they deliver a premium product. Unless you're rich or a fan, it's probably an unjustified luxury. However, if you're a music connoisseur and use Bluetooth headphones on a regular basis, then believe it or not, this is actually good value. The lambskin covered memory foam pads feel like clouds and I look forward to wearing them every time. The most important thing is that the sound is fantastic! They have a deeply rich, balanced and polished sound. I'm particularly hard to please because I love the powerful, tight and distinct bass, as well as the balanced clean sound profile. Banging & Olufsen apparently has a unique proprietary digital signal processor as you can clearly hear the depth, richness, excitement and clarity of the sound signature. It's hard to describe, but the sound feels silky and polished even at high volumes. Every nuance is clean, clear and cuts through a very powerful and immersive sound. The bass is not only powerful and tight, but also does not suppress the mids and highs. Admittedly, while I'm a bass junkie, I still want to hear articulations in the upper registers, and these get the job done. They even have enough sub-bass to create the illusion of a 3D soundscape. In fact, I prefer them to the B7, which has a noticeably flatter and less exciting sound. The B4 also features the new Bluetooth 4.2 specification, which I haven't seen on any other product in this price range. Another notable feature is that there is no difference in volume or sound between battery operation and mains operation.
