UPDATE 3/22/19: Upgraded to 1 star as I can't give zero stars. The charging function of this product has stopped working, as has the USB port. My laptop's power isn't draining, but it's also not charging. So now this item is good enough to hold a charge? Maybe? The USB port also stopped working. I contacted Revain for product support. They tried to contact the seller to have them contact me but the seller didn't respond. So I'm sending it back for a refund. The product was 100% a waste of time, the seller was 100% a waste of time (not to mention dodgy. See my March 12 update) and my attempts to fix the problem were 100% a waste of time. . Zero stars across the board for this item. UPDATE 3/12/19: I've updated my rating to 2 stars. THE PRODUCT WORKS GREAT but please note the product comes with instructions on how to get a free gift in exchange for an honest review. The free gift offer requires a 5-star rating of the gifted product. Also the method by which the free gift is offered is patchy as you have to pay the full price of the product and then request a refund afterwards. This is probably to ensure that the item appears as a confirmed purchase. I repeat. THE PRODUCT WORKS GREAT. However, if I had known beforehand that the seller was engaging in somewhat shady practices, I would have purchased a different product. I bought this product to enable an external monitor for HP Elite X2-1012. Not only does it work great, but it has saved me a ton of money compared to the official HP docking station. In addition, it takes up very little space. It's a little bigger than a matchbox. Thing. The only minor caveat I have is that pass-through charging seems to be slower with this adapter than when plugged directly into the power cord. But that doesn't matter for my purposes, since my computer is 100% stationary and always connected to the network.
