Review on Kelty Redwing Liter Backpack for Day Hiking and Backpacking by Willie Carrera

I was looking for a new day pack as my 30 year old Lowe Alpine pack was starting to dig into my shoulders and destroy my neck muscles. This old backpack was just a bag with side and top pockets and no inner frame. Switching to an internal frame pack shifts weight to the hipbelt and off the shoulders, making hiking pain-free. It takes a little getting used to, but so far so good and I'm looking forward to new hikes. This Redwing backpack has a very similar configuration of the side and top pockets, so I just rearranged the backpack's staples and moved on. I also like the through-the-bar design, and because of that feature, I'll be taking ours with me more often. Great packaging so far, hopefully it will last another 30 years.
