If you don't have perfectly shaped small or medium sized apples, this is a worthless investment. We bought two of these to speed up processing over 75 pounds of apples from our orchard. These peelers were successful or not, they actually peeled the whole apple, they only seemed to work for apples that were small and uniform in shape, and most of the apples we processed were large and not entirely uniform. They also seem pretty cheap, definitely not like my grandma's as the springs have bent over a few uses.
