The sellers description says "Weatherproof Box: The switch box is designed to be waterproof, weatherproof and splash proof. The box is made of quality aluminum and protects the switches against short circuit and damage."This box is not waterproof, weather proof, or splash proof. As you can see from my photos there is no seal between the front plate or the back plate and the main body. There is also no gromets or seal between the leads for your accessories from the back of the box. The front and back panels are held on with coarse thread self tapping screws that are not sealed.The lack of gromets on the wires from the rear panel bring concerns of a short between the wire and the panel due to the wire rubbing through from vibration or excessive movement while installing the switch box. There is nothing between the wire and the sharp metal of the rear plate except the insulation on the wire and if you take this apart like I did you will scrape some of that insulation away putting it back together. You have to take it apart if you want to change the always on light to only on when the switch is powered on. Remove the wire from pin 6 on the switches to turn off the always on light.The good news is the box is heavy and decent aluminum. The switches all worked on mine and the voltmeter and charging ports worked on mine. It just not weather proof or sealed and I would only install it in a safe location taking care to secure the leads from the back in someway to prevent chaffing or wear.This product is "almost there" meaning if they fixed the weather proofing issue or didn't advertise it as weather proof and added gromets to the rear where the wires pass through it would be an excellent value.
