If you're looking for a manual focus zoom webcam with an acceptable aperture, this could be the one for you. On one PC I observed some vignetting at most focal lengths, on another PC I didn't see it (even after removing and replacing the lens with a shorter lens-to-sensor distance). It's not even remotely parfocal, but it doesn't pretend to be either. The Focus labels appear to be swapped, but that's not a big problem since there aren't any labeled positions. When I removed the lens there was a large speck of dust on the sensor body but nothing on the sensor itself. The kit includes several drywall anchors with a hex screw, but these screws are not used. I have another similar one and it appears to use the same lens arrangement and also with a far/near focus direction reversed. I'm really wondering if angular vignetting with chromatic aberration is why some people have seen yellow tint - I haven't encountered any yellow tint. It's a serviceable camera if you're looking for all the manual controls, but it delivers on your expectations. short.
