Review on 🛡️ First Mfg Co - CE-2 Back Armour Protective Pad by Matthew Maxwell

I replaced the non-CE certified back protector with this CD-2 protector. It turned out to be thicker than I thought it would be, but that didn't detract from the fit of the jacket. I'm not sure if the vents actually make the back protector cooler, but they might help wick some moisture away from the rider - that's just a guess. Didn't notice the jacket getting heavier with this back protector although I felt it was there while riding. It's comfortable with no sharp edges or hard spots. It matched perfectly with my Xelement CF-6019-66 Men 'Invasion' summer jacket. I have no plans to do crash tests so the performance of the rear guard remains unknown and I hope it stays that way. <g> If it works as advertised, it's a good deal.
