The controls work well without a cheap toy like many cheap remote controls. I suspect this will hold up well over time as it appears to be well built. Having spent the best part of a decade fixing electronics for the emergency services, I'm pretty well versed in what is well done and junk, and it's NOT junk! Now if only they could apply this level of engineering and the build quality of the boxes and the programming of those boxes. Having an AWESOME voice controlled remote doesn't make me squat when the box and its services are Mickey Mouse trash! Comcast at least saved money by hiring daycare programmers.
