At first, I bought an earlier version, Companion 2 Series II, from my hands. The sound character is different. The "triples" lower range is more solid or something. Another question is whether it is appropriate to compare a used model for several years with new speakers. I bought a Series III as a gift to a relative, and in the process of "testing" I caught myself thinking that it would not be easy to part with the acoustics. Under the New Year's promotion, I bought the second one for myself.
