Worked out of the box. Appears to be well built.

I've used it a couple of times. I've wanted one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. There are a lot of options out there. I ultimately chose this one over others for several reasons. Initially, I was going to get one that plugs into a phone (lower cost). I was concerned that I would be tied to an app from a company that might disappear, thereby making the camera useless. So I decided to get one with a dedicated screen. I also knew that I wanted a dual camera. Having the secondary side camera is a must in my opinion. The fact that the camera can be disconnected from the screen is another reason that I chose this unit. I think it stores better and hopefully will let me change cameras if this one fails. In addition, the round threaded connector appeared to be far better than the standard USB A connector that most have.I've used it a couple of times now. The first was to look inside the cylinders of an engine that was locked up. I removed the spark plugs and put the camera in through that hole. It took a bit to learn how to negotiate the camera around. Compared to the cell phones we have now the resolution isn't great, but certainly good enough. I was able to clearly see the cross-hatching on one cylinder wall. Sadly, I was also able to see the gobs of rust on the other cylinder walls and valves. It told me what I needed to know, though. Then my daughter used it to look in the gas tank of a snowmobile to see if the pickup tube had broken off. She recorded a video. It was rather blurry, but the key is to stay within the focal range of the camera (which she didn't know). Still, I could tell that the tube was connected, even through the gasoline. I don't know if it has any cracks though. I'll have to pull it to find out. I digress. All in all, I am pleased with this unit. At long as it doesn't die a crib death, I'll be happy with it. Much better than the tool that I didn't have. The only real negative is the resolution, but I think it is the same as pretty much every unit out there. As stated above, stay in the focal range and your results will be rather good.
