This was my first diamond painting but I have been cross stitching for years. I specifically chose a set based on an impressionist painting because I knew the details would be intricate. I think the diamond painting medium worked well for this set because the shimmer gives it a rainy effect. I was very happy with my first set. I found the diamonds adhered very well to the glue even though the canvas is only covered with a thin sheet of plastic. I completed the kissing couple sub exercise in about 10 hours over 3-4 days, which is very fast compared to cross stitch. added. I knew it wouldn't look like photos and kept an open mind, but the framed Photoshop images in the room and the images of the artworks they're based on are kind of false advertising. The piece is worth buying, but it's frustrating not knowing what you're getting.
