Review on 🔌 OSIAS Universal Low Pressure Fuel Pump - Efficient Gas/Diesel 12V Electric Inline HEP-02A (2.5-4 PSI) by Cesar Cook

I wasn't sure if it had the power to pump gear oil but it worked fine (I helped it a little with gravity ) for my transmission flush. It wasn't enough (in terms of liters per minute) to keep up with the transmission as it pumped out the old fluid, but when a friend cranked the engine for about 20-30 seconds at a time while shifting it was fine ; the gear pump pushed out the old fluid fairly quickly (I had no precise idea how much per cycle) while I ran the OASIS pump, which pushed out the replacement fluid; I only ran OASIS a little before and after starting the engine. Flushed about 12 gallons this way, then finally resealed the coolant lines and topped up the transmission to (eventually!) the proper level. This was also the case on the FJ Cruiser, which has a very interesting way of adjusting the transmission oil level, using an overflow tube in the transmission pan; It is important to note that the level must be adjusted with the engine running and the transmission oil temperature between 115 and 130F; At this temperature and idling, you must continue topping up gear oil through the filler plug until fluid begins to flow from the overflow. Having an electric pump was a big help, but I put the finishing touches on liter bottles with a manual pump. Too bad I didn't use an electric pump for this too :) #sorearms
