We have been looking for a harness that is durable and strong enough to lift or assist my 14 year old 65 pounder into the car. But it must be comfortable. One of the biggest inherent problems with harnesses is that they can chafe the armpit of the foreleg. Although this has not yet happened with Aida (we just got and started using the harness yesterday) it is a concern. Note that the the keeper buckle for the chest strap sits just behind her "elbow" (see pic). This is a medium which is supposed to fit a chest girth of up to 31" - Aida measures 30" and it barely fits. To address these problems we are ordering an Elite IN A LARGE, The Elite is an inch longer and has an adjustable strap. We'll see how that goes.One other thing to note, with the harness on Aida seems a bit more compliant on leash. Perhaps the feel of the harness conveys more authority than a collar.UPDATEReceived the Elite in Large. It too was extremely well built but ultimately just too heavy.UPDATE 2/20/22Tried to return this within the allowed return date (replaced with a more expensive Curli Belka) but AMAZON WOULD NOT LET ME RETURN IT.
