Review on TiltSmart TS45W Glass Tube Inclinometer by Travis Flores

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Works, but not for long on a tractor.

I ordered 4 pieces (2 for my tractor and 2 for a friend). Of the two I kept, I installed one on my tractor. It started running during the day, then stalled at zero and wouldn't budge even at a 20 degree incline. I took it off and it seemed to work great in my hand. I put it back on the tractor and an hour later it was stuck again. I mounted the second one on my tractor and it has been working fine for a month. I took apart the first one to see what the problem was but found nothing wrong (the bullet is in a sealed glass tube filled with liquid. I can only assume there is a very small invisible glass particle inside ). swings to zero and won't roll the ball over it build is good but i seem to have one with a defect i didn't feel right to send it back having disassembled it besides shipping it's a big part of the price. 3 stars because 3/4 worked well. EDIT: Well after a few weeks all the other 3 fell out the same as the first one. Some small invisible particles inside the glass tube will cause the metal ball to get stuck. They were all on different machines. My guess is that the liquid inside is two-thin and allows the bullet to shatter the glass from the machine's vibration, creating small shards of glass. I think they should work for something that doesn't vibrate, maybe a boat or RV, but not equipment. 1 star because ll failed at short notice.
