FEB 2019 - Engine seized and no parts appear to be available. The case is sealed and cannot replace the impeller. OCTOBER 2018 - Reading other reviews makes me wonder if I have the same product! As far as I know, there is no guarantee. Wouldn't buy again and can't understand why this product is a Revain favorite in August 2018 - bought as the price can match the quality? Would downgrade from 3 to 2 stars after prolonged use. Too complex with a "skimmer" and it will suck air out of the inner tube and swing valve o-rings. Also, the impeller doesn't start by itself, so you need to help it start and then install the pipe. The filter material has a good design with multiple types, but the baskets are very small and complex design with baskets and a cage. It has UV light and draws a small amount of light through the sanitizing lamp and spins the water when it's working properly, but sucks in air that makes noise. Requires no minimal maintenance and is trouble free. FEBRUARY 2016 - Rating 3 stars - Purifies water but burned out the UV lamp in less than a month. An attempt was made to use a second block in an undergravel filter but this did not work due to the design of the pipe and skimmer. I bought the lamp for $12 as there is no way to return or exchange just the part within 30 days. UV lamp failure within the first 30 days
