I really think that this headphone is better than Pyle PSWP6BK Flextreme waterproof headphones for MP3 player in many ways. First, it has 8GB of storage versus the Flexstream's 4GB. Second, they sit more comfortably on my head than the Flexstream, and now that I've placed the earbuds low on the headphones, they fit better. Now it's not perfect. First, it was extremely difficult to attach earbuds to phones. I had to use tweezers to pull the rubber band over the phone connector. Second, the connector fell off the first time you tried to put it on the phone (tip: pull it as deep as you can on the phone itself). Third, the kit does not include instructions on how to remove the MP3 device from the headband. Not wanting to break it, I searched the internet for a PDF file with an instruction manual. It's actually quite easy to take off the MP3 player, but it's a little scary to bend the headband to pull out the MP3 player. Worse still, the earplugs just don't stay in place. When swimming, the earbuds fall out even when my glasses overlap the earbuds, especially on the right side. This is one of the advantages of PSWP6BK over this product. Because the 6BK is made of hard plastic right down to the eartip, it stays in place. The thin wires to the 8BK earbud just float out. But the sound is better. I feel the bass and mids are more defined in the water than the Flexstream. While the dangling earbuds are a bit clunky, once I placed the phone in my ear at the right angle, it felt better and firmer than the Flexstream. I like that the Flexstream fits easily in my ear. Is it completely waterproof? No, but it keeps most water out of the ear well. I'm happy with it, but beware: the rubber stoppers are very difficult to tighten. UPDATE: March 16th, 2016 I've had them for about two weeks now and the real downside are the earbuds themselves. I might sound like Goldilocks here but they only give you two water sports headphones and one is too small and the other is too big. The small one gets stuck in my ear when I take off the headset (and as mentioned above, it's very difficult to get back on set) and the big one just falls out of my ear while swimming because that's not the way for me to get a comfortable fit. So I took the standard earbuds, found the right size for a decent fit, and now wear a lycra swim cap to keep the earbuds/earbuds in. Works great and I don't have to adjust it while doing my laps. Another weakness of the entire product: the instruction manual is terrible in many ways. As above, the first downside is the fact that the user manual does not come with the product. The next problem with the manual is that Pyle's website stopped me 4 times before I successfully downloaded the manual. The next problem is that it becomes obvious that the manual is a terrible English translation. Another problem, just proofreading. it becomes obvious that these PYLE headphones are just OEM copy of TAYOGO Tayogo ยฎ 2015 Upgraded Waterproof Headset for MP3 Player Music Player 8GB Memory Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones for Swimming Surfing Running Sports Award-winning design Comfortable Stylish Longer battery life, support for most audio files Black headphones on page 7 "Tayogo waterproof MP3 player with free FM capability.โ You'd think a company as progressive as Pyle would take care of this long before it did Handbook and the product distributed to the general public. Despite these shortcomings, I still recommend headphones (they store all the music I want: over 5GB!, plus the sound is good, the download speed is fast and it's much better than swimming without music). But the headphones and the terrible manual make me deduct a star. another for dangling earbuds. three star rating.
