I needed a stand for my laptop to keep it warm from video calls and demanding software at the same time. The X shape of the stand matches the bottom vent perfectly and I haven't had any overheating issues since using the stand. I also like the adjustable height as it allows me to better align my laptop display with the second display. . But even in the lowest angle of the computer, it is too much to use the keyboard comfortably. If you use the stand in any position other than horizontal, you will need an external keyboard.
