Unreliable, barely works -1 ⭐

I bought this because I have a gaming PC that doesn't have WiFi installed. Ethernet wasn't an option for me since I live in an apartment building and my room is upstairs across from the router. Included was a floppy disk for installing drivers. My PC does not have a floppy disk drive. So I had to download the drivers from the website onto an old laptop, put it on a USB stick and then install it on the PC via USB. It was a headache to use and was literally unusable. Even after messing around with the settings, I got a MAXIMUM 2-5Mbps download on a slow connection that kept dropping. If the connection failed, I had to unplug the adapter and completely restart the computer using the power button, which is not good for it. This must be mainly due to a bad product as I got 20-50MB downloads and stable connection on Xbox. Solution: for whom it does not work. I bought a "tp-link WIFI Range Extender AC1750 RE450". After setting it up, I placed it in my room and connected my computer to the device via the Ethernet port. So far it seems stable and my tests have shown that the speed is several times faster than with the Netgear adapter alone.

Pros
  • Network adapter
Cons
  • Everything is fine
