Pin for chain 428 is one of the largest. You will need to remove the pin guide as it is too narrow for wider pins (anything motorcycle related) and if you do this the end of the pin will no longer be supported as it protrudes from the adjustable shaft. What happens is when you put pressure on the chain, the pin moves, or rather it deflects and moves away from the rivet to the chain link. I grounded the rivet first, which helps a bit. Would be a great economical tool if only it had a pen guide or different size shank in the pen to prevent pen deflection. Comes with some extra pins which is good but they are smaller than motorcycle chain sizes.
