Absolute rubbish - made of cheese

First use (because my good set got lost somewhere in my basement) - figured out how bad it could be? Well, it's completely useless. The switch tips are cheese, can't even break the chain on my 250 let alone my 750.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Update available

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broke on the first try.

First the pin failed when disassembling the chain. Then, while installing the new link, the guide pin on the back plate broke off. This did the job but the next one will be a problem. It is better to make a disassembly guide and use it for installation.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Appearance

Will never buy this brand again

Three barrel pin removal dies are bent and stuck in the tool along with the spring. Followed the instructions word for word. One of the matrices had to be cut to remove it from the instrument. I will never buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful

Absolute scrap at motorcycle & power sports

I ignored many other negative reviews and decided on this article. There was an error. The drive pins folded and broke as soon as significant torque was applied. The anvils are made of a material that is slightly harder than processed cheese. And of course, this item is non-refundable. Because the seller knows it's bullshit.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

cheap material/flexible

This tool did the job but the breaker pin bent after the first use when I removed the links from the DID 525 Pro road chain. even after scraping the rivet head and making sure the tool is level. I can't find a replacement pen to use the entire set again. I think I'll leave it in the corner for the bike chains. Do yourself a favor and pay money for a set that you can use more than once.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

It's ok for the money but you have to know what you're doing

So I bought this set thinking it was going to suck and I was glad to know I didn't get my money's worth wasted but the job, that's all i wanted and yes some of the pics here are curved pin pushers because they didn't cut the head off with a grinder. Trust me, it's 100 times easier if you do it. Keep in mind it's cheap so you might want to help him get it. The job gets done anyway, just wish it was a little tighter in the hole when you put the pusher in, otherwise it works.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

Works great the first time

The tool works great when used properly, but the headpin is quite soft and deforms with the chain after the first use. This is great for someone with a bike, but for multiple jobs in a row I wouldn't recommend it unless you can make the best headpin. The punch pins are soft, but as long as you sand both sides, they'll pop out with no problem. The C-Clip got a little wider when I tried to click the new main link, but it was definitely worth $20.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Working speed

Cons

Wanted please, but.

Pin for chain 428 is one of the largest. You will need to remove the pin guide as it is too narrow for wider pins (anything motorcycle related) and if you do this the end of the pin will no longer be supported as it protrudes from the adjustable shaft. What happens is when you put pressure on the chain, the pin moves, or rather it deflects and moves away from the rivet to the chain link. I grounded the rivet first, which helps a bit. Would be a great economical tool if only it had a pen guide…

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Low repairability
