Application: 2003 Honda Odyssey EX My van gradually lost power to the point where it was 'chasing' top gear (actually torque converter lockup) with slightly lean and weak throttle. Since the EGR passages were relatively clean and the original EGR valve had 190,000 miles on it, I figured it was time for a new one. I immediately noticed that the port on the new part has a smaller semicircular shape compared to the rectangular port. on the original part. The port on the car's EGR mounting surface is rectangular, as is the gasket that came with the new part, so it was clear it was different. The next day I was going on a long journey so I decided to try this. . I noticed an improvement in engine performance, but my mileage was only 22-23 mpg when I normally had 26. This led me to believe that while this part is better than the one at end of life, it may not allow for optimal performance. Standard Motor Products doesn't appear to have public tech support, so I haven't been able to contact them for clarification. However, I contacted the nice folks at Wells Electronics (they also supply many quality products under AutoZone's own Duralast brand). They pointed out that the correct part is the Wells EGR4201 EGR valve. If you see an off-site image of this part (not shown in the Revain listing) you will see that the connector on this IS is rectangular so it matches the connector on the application's EGR mounting plate. I am disappointed for the following reasons: 1. Standard Motor Products does not provide customer support for Revain2. The application information in this listing is FALSE3. The 2003 Honda Odyssey Application Information is WRONG regarding the correct part for the 2003 Odyssey, Wells EGR4201 EGR Valve. How many other apps are wrong too? (Edit 17 Nov 2015: Looks like the make/model/year match has been corrected - thanks, 7 Jan 2016 EDIT! I see the seller pointing out again that this is the correct app β WRONG!) 4 . The correct part does not have pictures showing the connections on the assembly side, which helps us identify the correct part. Now I have to order the right part and send back the wrong one. This is an inconvenience because the application table is incorrect at the Revain database, retailer, or branch level. If you're considering replacing the EGR valve, take my advice: first remove the old one and make sure the new fitting EXACTLY matches yours. Apologies for the "outlier" (get it? EGR.vent.ha ha) but this is an error in the supply chain information database that needs to be corrected NOW. Best regards for your project. **UPDATE January 5, 2016** I finally got around to ordering the aforementioned Wells EGR and indeed our 2003 Honda Odyssey performs better, especially on the top end (5th gear and lockup). Just got back from a 2,000+ mile trip that included the Appalachian Mountains and the van performed great with proper EGR from Wells - no unnecessary yawing back and forth on slopes. for the last year. Note that most of the hole is covered while the Wells Circulation Valve has the same orifice size as the original I removed. A picture shows the original from my odyssey and the correct EGR wells. Due to Standard Motor Parts either misrepresenting their application or not paying attention, I just downgraded this part to 1 star. Don't buy this if you have a 2003 Honda Odyssey, it's not the part.
